| Physical: Walks well; may begin to run; can climb stairs and onto adult chairs; throws a ball overhand |
- Take your child on walks
- Go to the playground and play catch |
- Hand Skills: Can put shapes into puzzles; likes to explore and examine objects

- Give them simple puzzles and other objects and show how to use them
- Make sure they have some things of their own and places to put them |
| Language: Uses many words (approx. 50) to tell you about specific objects, persons or actions; combines two or more different words (“want cookie”) |
*** Allow your child to make choices whenever possible. For example, “Do you want an apple or orange?” |
| Self Help: Knows self in mirror or pictures. Uses pronouns (“I, Me, Your”). Often says “NO” to bedtime; foods and simple requests; May show interest in using toilet |
- Praise dryness and use the bathroom (don’t punish your child for any accidents)- Provide music and help with simple dance like movements
